COVID19 Update: Friday, March 27

Dear Valued YMCA Members,

Thank you again for your support during this time of challenge. Since my last communication the decision has been made to extend the school closure for an additional 4 weeks. While this does not definitively mean that fitness centers are also tied into that date, it does mean that we will likely not be cleared to open on April 7th.

As we work to continue to serve you, I have an urgent request of you: Please stay with us during this difficult time and keep your membership active. By continuing to pay your membership fee, you will allow us to maintain the financial resources needed to focus our time, people and energy to where our community needs it most. Right now, that is aligning with community partners regarding child-care needs for healthcare workers, first responders and “essential” employees protecting our community.

Should your situation require it, and you wish to have your April membership draft placed on hold or have other membership related questions, please contact your home branch with that request and we will take care of it right away.

We have the opportunity, right now, to decide what the future looks like. We want a future of generosity, of social justice and equal access to critical resources. We are learning a lot in real time, and we’re adapting. We’re standing by this community during this difficult time and ask that you stand by us as well. There’s a bright future ahead, but the only way we get there is together. Thank you.

Yours in Health,
Dexter Johnson
