Downtown Springfield Y Parent/Child Aquatic Lessons

The YMCA Parent and Child Swim Program is a nationally recognized program which promotes water enrichment and aquatic readiness activities for children ages 6 months to 3 years of age. Classes are designed to allow the child to have fun in the water while the parent or guardian guides them.
Rates: Member $50 Non-member $100 (Unless posted otherwise)

Parent/Child I – Shrimp/Kipper
*One adult must be present in the water for each child participating.
This is a water enrichment program where parent and child participate in water adjustment activities including blowing bubbles, kicking, paddling and jumping in. Games and songs are used to create a fun atmosphere and help children feel comfortable in the pool.

Parent/Child II – Inia/Perch
Saturdays 9:00-9:30am
*One adult must be present in the water for each child participating.
The second progression in the parentchild sequence. Children learn more swimming skills and water games with their parents while still adjusting to the aquatic environment.
